HOLDING: Contemporary Fibre Art brings the creative process of the fibre art medium to life in the Hunter region. Showcasing 25 local, national and international fibre artists, the exhibition explores, through textile mediums, the idea of containment and ownership. The small and large scale fibre vessels will be constructed to reference the notion of ‘holding’ creating a rich visual experience in the Gallery in both two dimensional and sculptural works of art.
