Focusing on recent acquisitions, this exhibition celebrates the breadth and depth of the Newcastle Art Gallery collection which continues to grow. The quality of the collection has been primarily the result of generous benefaction from individuals, support groups such as the Newcastle Art Gallery Foundation, Society and Guides and carefully targeted acquisitions. The works of art include Australian and Japanese ceramics, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture.
