Teen Masterclass with local artist Rosie Turner

Learn how to create your own iconic rock music symbols with local artist Rosie Turner. Unleash your inner creative and delve into the amazing world of ink on paper in this special masterclass just for teens! Set within the exhibition WE CAN BE HEROES: a backstage pass, participants will be guided through a combination of ink on paper techniques. Come along, pick up tips and tricks, and get creative alongside Rosie Turner, as well as other like-minded teens.

Rosie will share with you her knowledge and experience of:
* how to use ink and brush on paper
* how to create a series of iconic rock symbols inspired by the exhibition

Rosie Turner will demonstrate techniques and then guide you on your own creative 1.5-hour adventure.

For ages 13-17 years, suitable for all skill levels. All materials supplied. Participants are encouraged to bring their own sketch books.

About the artist
Rosie Turner is a multidisciplinary artist and painter based in Newcastle. Rosie completed a Bachelor of Fine Art majoring in painting and drawing at Newcastle University in 2012. Her art practice looks through the lens of Australian Gothic – here she seeks to unpick anxieties around religion, death and the very possible End Of Everything.
