Bring the Gallery to your classroom!

Hosted by a Gallery educator, each lesson includes a hands-on artmaking activity and an opportunity for students to explore key works from the Gallery's collection in new and inspiring ways. This is a free curriculum-aligned visual arts program, with some materials provided. Duration varies from 30 minutes to 1 hour.

We encourage teachers to participate in the workshop however the teacher is responsible for the duty of care and behaviour management of the class and must be present for the duration of the lesson.

Available to schools within a 25km radius of Newcastle CBD. If your school is located outside of this limit, please contact the Gallery to discuss. If you have any questions about the programs on offer, contact us via email at kadamson@ncc.nsw.gov.au or call (02) 4974 5100.
