Hunter Writers Centre is excited to announce Ekphrastic Live Readings at Newcastle Art Gallery.
Developed during Ancient Greece, Ekphrastic writing is a literary piece that responds and reflects the ‘action’ of an artwork.
In this first Live Reading local writers will draw from Newcastle Art Gallery’s current exhibition James Drinkwater: the sea calls me by name.
You are invited to come and hear poems and prose, fiction and non-fiction, as well as personal essays. There are also 3 cash prizes to be awarded ($100, $50, $50).
Do you want to read your work? Email Hunter Writers Centre at firstname.lastname@example.org
