Working with local artist and jewellery designer Zoe Tjanavaras, participants will develop their own lightweight contemporary necklace and earrings using brightly coloured laser cut designs. All pieces of laser cut wooden and acrylic jewellery will be pre-cut. The workshop will be hosted in the exhibition OLSEN ORMANDY: a creative force as inspiration. Participants will gain new skills and explore the world of functional design, jewellery, pattern, shape and colour.

A great class for newcomers to jewellery and accessories design or those that would like to try something different.

Frequently Asked Questions about Adult Workshops

Do I need to book in advance or can I just show up on the day?
Bookings and payment are required in advance. Please note, our workshops book out very fast; to ensure you secure a workshop session you will need to book as soon as you can online. Please visit the website and use the direct link we have provided on the event page.

How do I know if I have booked a session?
You will be directed to visit the external website 'trybookings' to make payment and secure the workshop session. Once this has been completed you will receive an email from 'trybookings' confirming the workshop, date and time.

Do I need to arrive early for my workshop session?
The workshop sessions start on time, so we advise you arrive 5 minutes early to sign in and get set up in our workshop area. Parking can be difficult in the CBD so be sure to allow sufficient time. There is free all day parking available on both Saturdays & Sundays behind the back of the Gallery. Free ½ hour parking is available in front of the gallery (makes a quick drop off/ pick up spot).

Will there be photos taken at the session?
We often have a photographer capturing all of the excitement during our events. These photographs will often be used on our website or in a flyer to promote future workshop sessions - but if you prefer not to be photographed that can be easily accommodated.

Can I get an exchange or refund if I can't make it on the day?
Exchange or refund of a ticket can be available up to 48 hours prior to your booked workshop session. For information about this, please contact the "Event Organiser". We strive to keep the appraisal days affordable for participants, please be aware that last minute cancellations and refunds cannot be accommodated.
To the extent permitted by law, the $0.30 booking fees paid by you to 'trybookings' will not be refunded in any circumstances (including where the ticket price has been refunded by the Event Organiser).
