About the performance:

Ashley Hribar is an Australian born pianist and composer. As a strong advocate for contemporary music, his performances often straddle between composer and improviser, using traditional repertoire in the context for free improvisations. Ashley was winner of the 2005 International Gaudeamus Interpreters Competition in Amsterdam and has since collaborated with internationally respected composers and performers in Australia and Europe. He has performed in numerous music festivals, broadcasts and is frequently heard on ABC Classic FM.

His love of the Stuart & Sons piano has resulted in the preparation of this program especially for this concert.  He will play music by J. S. Bach, Frederic Rzewski, Alan Griffiths, Natalie Williams, Kate Moore and Alexander Scriabin.
